Ron English has been making street art for years. He started out in the 1980s with street art that was a warning about corporate greed to come in America. His art has blown up and many say he’s the prequel to Banksy. This year, Ron English is making masks for COVID with a partnership through Threadless. Key Takeaways:

  • New York artist Ron English has been called a precursor to Banksy.
  • His best-selling Grin masks have been popular in China for years.
  • English’s designer toys became a way for him to address social and political issues.
