Back to school is both an exciting and stressful time of year, so here are some tips to ease some of the stress. Be sure to mentally prepare by getting back into a routine, including a regular sleep schedule two weeks ahead of the first day back. Physically prepare as well, by making appointments to check on immunizations, eye exams, or physicals. Get you, children, in the mindset to learn with daily reading and board games, then dedicate a space for them to continue learning with homework. Pick up any school supplies or clothing. Visit the school to make it a familiar space. Introduce yourself to new classmates. Packing a healthy lunch the night before, along with setting out clothing, backpacks, or other necessities in an organized fashion, will make mornings much smoother.

- Participate in games that help a child to focus and work towards a goal as well as teaches social skills.
